Mr. Joseph Kan went from Hong Kong to Canada to study in high school in the 70s. He graduated from the University of Toronto, majoring in Biochemistry. His first luggage retail store was founded in 1975 under the name K. Jamson.

Today, K. Jamson is a 18-store-chain operation under the names of K. Jamson, L’attache and Luggage City. Due to outstanding business performances, K. Jamson was chosen by consumers in Metro-Toronto to win the Consumers’ Choice Award for the past 4 consecutive years. The company has also won other awards within the luggage industry, including the “Best Dealers Award” and the Retailer Award” for 2000 from the Luggage & Leathergoods Accessories Association of Canada. This is the highest award in the industry. only one each year in Canada is awarded to the most outstanding retailer. Mr Kan has been nominated as the Canadian Entrepreneur of the year in 1998. and as the Chinese Entrepreneur of the year in 2000. He has also been nominated in the Best Entrepreneur Category for the New Pioneer Award this year.

Mr. Joseph Kan is a respectful entrepreneur. He is active in serving the community by sponsoring different charity events. such as the fund raising for North York General Hospital, the United Way. annual charity ball of the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation and Man Sheong Foundation. He also supports many new Chinese immigrants and Visa students to integrate into the new environment.

Mr. Joseph Kan is presently the President & CEO of CCTC. K. Jamson. Luggage City and Kanex Holding Ltd. He is also the
Director of the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto, the Director of Asian Canadian Entrepreneur and Professionals (ACEP), the founding member of the Hong Kong Canadian Business Association and a member of the Scarborough Chamber of
Con‘ierce. With over 27 years of successful experience, Mr. Joseph Kan contributes great effort to help Chinese entrepreneurs to explore and start-up business in North America.
