International Trade Letter of Credit Seminar
CIBAC hosted the Letter of Credit (L/C) Views on China Trade – “The Risk Factor” event on June 21, 2018 during the Pre-Departure China Trade Mission Event. The Junior Soccer team members and their parents were invited to join and receive sponsorship of trip allowance and T shirts.
CIBAC invited an international trade expert to speak on the topic of international trade. The speaker, Mr. T.O. Lee, presented the topic on use of L/C in Import and Export trade; and discussed the use of L/C as a trusted way of payment guarantee for the movement of international goods. As an experienced trade advisor, he also presented the difficulties encountered in L/C trade, and what he has personally encountered cases in the world of L/C frauds.
Mr. T O Lee is voted as one of the nine best Letter of Credit specialists in a global survey by “L/C Views” USA in Nov. 2005. He is a DOCDEX L/C Expert appointed by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Headquarters in Paris since 1997 to adjust L/C disputes submitted to ICC International Centre for Expertise, Paris.
