October 2014: CIBAC China Delegation Studied Local Cultural and Tourism Market
To better understand Changsha’s folk culture, delegates visited Hunan University, formerly known as Yuelu Academy, one of the four academies in ancient China. Yuelu Academy was established in 976 AD. It has contributed to China’s higher education for over one thousand years.
The delegation also visited Hunan’s 5A Gold Medal Winner Farm: Green World Ecological Art Farm. This farm is a provincial demonstration project, which provides catering, conference, hotel and organic farming services.
Delegates also paid visit to the Orange Isle, the world’s largest inland continent; Xiangxiu Embroidery Village, and the Fire Palace, the demonstration centre for Hunan’s history of the ancient Fire Temple culture.
