Canadian Municipal Business Gateway (CMBG)

Founded by five entrepreneurs in the Greater Toronto Area, Canadian Municipal Business Gateway (CMBG) is a business incubator.
Locally, CMBG has cultivated significant relationships with various municipal governments in the Greater Toronto Area. Its strategic connections with various municipal governments including the City of Vaughan, Oxford County, Town of Whitby and Town of Clarington, can be the key to help business owners’ further development. CMBG also promotes and assists businesses internationally. Among its various projects, CMBG coordinates delegations to and from China to explore business opportunities to make new connections, and reach new horizons.
CMBG has designed a franchise program especially tailored for investors who are interested in starting their own business in Canada. This program includes the support and assistance of franchisors, training, marketing plans, and so much more. Partnering with CMBG, franchisers and investors tap into its various connections in investment real estate opportunities, franchise opportunities, and a host of other projects like green energy or water filtration.

The President of CMBG, Will Sung, is one of the directors at CIBAC. These two organizations work closely to support their members and customers to fulfill their business ambition both in China and Canada.

Xiangsanxie

Hunan Hi-tech Entrepreneurs Association and Changsha Hi-tech Entrepreneurs Association are the provincial level and municipal level not-for-profit organizations for Hi-tech and R & D enterprises and individuals. Changsha Association for Professional Managers is the organization for professional managers, business owners and scholars specialized in business management. Established on the same day–- December 29, 2013, these three organizations got into an agreement in February 2015 to form an alliance to collectively provide services to their members and work under a common brand name – “Xiangsanxie ”with their peers and other businesses in China and overseas.

    

In November 2014, Mr. Johnny So, president of CIBAC signed friendship agreements with these three organizations respectively. In November 2016, another agreement was reached between CIBAC and “ Xiangsanxie ” . According to this agreement, the two parties can share each other’s office as a platform to know about the business opportunities in the other country. The signing of this agreement is the milestone of the cooperation between two organizations. 

Changsha Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs

Overseas Chinese businessmen are an important force in China’s economic development. According to statistics, more than 60% of foreign investment in China and more than 70% of foreign-invested enterprises in China originate from overseas Chinese businessmen or those residing in Hong Kong and Macao. Changsha Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs was established on June 24, 2016. This non-for-profit organization is the home for overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and those from Hongkong and Macao, doing business in Changsha. The Federation works as a platform for Chinese entrepreneurs from overseas, Hongkong and Macao who are doing business in Changsha to share information and set up cooperation for mutual benefits.

 

CIBAC delegation met with Changsha Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs in November 2016.  Witnessed by Ms. Chen Hui, Chairwoman of the Changsha Overseas Chinese Federation, Mr. Johnny So, President of CIBAC, and Mr. Zeng Yingming, President of the Changsha Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, signed a friendship agreement on behalf of their own organizations. The signing of the agreement has marked the official start of cooperation between the two parties. At the meeting, CIBAC representatives introduced seafood products resources in Canada, also showcased a Canadian patented food packaging technology. Representatives from Changsha Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs analysed the potential of China’s smart home market and the related products and technologies for the local requirements.

Changsha Federation of Industry and Commerce ( General Chamber of Commerce of Changsha )

Established in September 1952, Changsha Federation of Industry and Commerce, also known as General Chamber of Commerce of Changsha is the organization for private enterprises and self-employed personnel in Changsha. As of December 2017, the Federation had 28,595 members. It offers its members a wide range of services including legal assistance, financing, arbitration, human resource solution, training and exhibitions, seminars, business matchmaking, field studies, etc. The Federation actively works with its peers. As at the end of 2017, it had signed friendship agreement with 187 chambers of commerce in China and overseas.

 

In July 2016, CIBAC and Changsha Federation of Industry and Commerce signed a friendship agreement. The two parties agreed to share economic updates, and business opportunities, promote co-operation between businesses, assist the other party with its business visits, conferences, seminars, trade fairs, exhibitions, technical exchanges, new product sampling, etc. Since the signing of the agreement, the two parties are always looking ahead at future activities and have been proactively working on various projects and events in manufacturing, real estate, tourism, and education.

Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Changsha

Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Changsha is an independent legal entity established on November 8, 2013 by a group of Chenzhou entrepreneurs doing business in Changsha. The Chamber of Commerce is committed to safeguarding the members’ interests and nurturing relationship with the government. It provides its members with services including legal advices, financial solutions, professional training, and market entry and development strategies and to build up links with China and overseas for development cooperation on investment, projects and technologies.

 

Led by City of Markham Councillor, Mr. Alan Ho, CIBAC’s Honourable Advisor in September 2017, the CIBAC delegation visited the Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Changsha. The delegates were warmly received by Mr. Li Nengwen, the president of the Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce. The two parties enthusiastically introduced their own cities and its unique market environment and promoted business cooperation opportunities during the meeting. The president of CIBAC, Mr. Johnny So and the president of Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Changsha, Mr. Li Nengwen, on behalf of the two organisations signed a friendship agreement at the meeting.
